President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and FIFA President Gianni Infantino have agreed to open a FIFA regional office in Tashkent that will serve Central Asian countries and help develop football in the region.
According to Report, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported this.
The meeting also discussed future cooperation in training coaches, referees, managers and specialists, popularizing football among young people, as well as holding major FIFA tournaments and events in Uzbekistan.
The President of Uzbekistan awarded Gianni Infantino the "Dustlik" Order, taking into account his services in the development of Uzbek football.
