FIFA has decided to penalize the Spanish Football Federation in connection with an incident during a friendly match against the Egyptian national team.
Idman.Biz reports, citing COPE, that the behavior of Spanish fans during the match, which targeted religious beliefs, did not escape the attention of the organization.
The fans in the stands joked about religious topics and chanted, "The one who doesn't jump is a Muslim!" This action is considered a violation of disciplinary rules and discrimination, so FIFA is expected to impose serious sanctions against the Spanish football organization.
It is worth noting that after the match, Spanish national team striker Lamin Yamal, in protest, was the only footballer to leave the field without saying goodbye to the fans.
