The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) has reported that clubs spent a record amount of money in the 2025 summer transfer window.
According to İdman.biz, the summer transfer window was open from June 1 to September 2, including from June 1 to 10 in connection with the Club World Cup to be held in the USA. During this period, slightly less than 12,000 international transfers were carried out in men's professional football, which is a new record.
Club transfer spending rose to $9.76 billion, an all-time record. Current figures exceed the amounts for the same period in 2024 by more than 50%.
It is noted that English clubs spent more than $3 billion. This is an all-time record among national associations.
