FIFA has announced new rules in football.
İdman.Biz reports that the rules will be applied at the 2026 World Cup.
The new rules are as follows:
- If a substitute player does not leave the field within 10 seconds, the player replacing him will have to wait a minute before entering the field.
- A player treated by the medical staff must leave the field for one minute.
- VAR will be given the authority to review second yellow cards and controversial corner kicks.
- If players waste time during a throw-in or goal kick, the referee will start a five-second countdown.
- As a penalty, the ball will be given to the opponent for a throw-in, and corner kicks will be awarded for a goal kick.
