"Qarabag's" qualification for the UEFA Champions League League stage is an achievement for Azerbaijan.
According to "Report", the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Fernandu Santos, said this at a press conference before the away match against the Icelandic national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round.
The 70-year-old expert congratulated the team on their success:
"I congratulate "Qarabag", including Gurban Gurbanov. This success is an achievement for Azerbaijan. They will talk about Azerbaijan in Europe".
It should be noted that the national team will face Iceland in Reykjavik on September 5 and Ukraine in Baku on September 9.
