Former head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Fernando Santos, answered the question "Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi - who do you consider a superior football player?" Sport24.az reports that the 71-year-old specialist gave an interview to "A Bola" about this:
"Geniuses cannot be compared. Do you prefer Beethoven or Mozart? They are innate geniuses. Maybe someone likes Messi, and someone likes Ronaldo. In this case, we can only go one way - look at what they have achieved in terms of titles. And here Cristiano is superior."
It should be noted that the Portuguese national team under the leadership of Santos won the European Championship in 2016 and the League of Nations in 2019.
