Fernando Batista has been sacked from his position as head coach of the Venezuelan national team. Sport24.az reports that the local federation's press service has released information about this.
The 55-year-old Argentine had been in charge since March 2023. Under Batista's leadership, the team played 28 matches, winning 9, drawing 8, and losing 11.
It should be noted that the Venezuelans finished 8th in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 18 points, failing to qualify for the final stage. The team failed to make the top 7 after suffering three consecutive defeats at the end of the qualifying round.
