The home side, who started the game confidently, took the lead by scoring two goals in the first half. However, after the 26th minute, "Beşiktaş" was left with one player less, which completely changed the course of the match. Head coach Sergen Yalçın was sent off for strongly protesting the referee's decision.
Taking maximum advantage of the numerical superiority, "Fenerbahçe" made a comeback by scoring three goals and finished the match with a score of 3:2 in their favor.
