Turkish club Fenerbahce has filed an official complaint with UEFA regarding the actions of Dutch referee Allard Lindhout, who did not award a penalty in the Europa League matchday 4 game against Viktoria Plzen.

"Our club has made an official application to UEFA regarding the decisions of referee Allard Lindhout in the match against Viktoria Plzen. In our appeal, we ask UEFA to investigate the events with due diligence and urgency, taking into account the referee's leadership style throughout the game and the direct impact of his erroneous decisions on the outcome of the game. The process has been officially initiated by UEFA and information on the progress of the investigation will be made public," the club said in a statement on its official website.
After four games in the Europa League, Fenerbahce is in 15th place in the tournament table with seven points.
