Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde has achieved a unique feat in the UEFA Champions League. Sport24.az reports that the Uruguayan footballer of the "Royal Club" made history by scoring a hat-trick in the first leg of the 1/8 final stage against Manchester City (3:0).
The 29-year-old South American, who scored his first hat-trick in his professional career, became the second Uruguayan to score 3 goals in a match in the continent's most prestigious club competition.
Before Valverde, former Deportivo player Walter Pandiani managed to do this in the 2000/2001 season.
