"Elnur Chovdarov, assistant to Aykhan muellim, played a big role in my transfer to "Shamakhi"." These words were said by Farid Namazov, the new head coach of the "Shamakhi" reserve team, in his statement to Sport24.az.
He commented on the abolition of the reserve team championship, which was on the agenda some time ago:
"Elnur muellim and I are studying together in the PRO course. To continue PRO, I needed to work at the club. I didn't want to rush and work somewhere. Thank you for your help. I am in favor of continuing the reserve team championship. Currently, the transition from U-19 to the main team does not seem real. The level difference is too big. Compared to U-19, the Reserve League is close to the elite. True, if this championship did not exist, the players would focus more on the first or second division. But not everyone would be able to find a team for themselves."
