After a long time, Salahat Agayev received an invitation to the national team. He is a permanent member of the main squad in "Gabala"." Farhad Veliyev said this in an interview with Sport24.az.
The former goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani national team, and now the goalkeeping coach of "Zira", assessed the chances of our national team in the games with Iceland and France:
"Aydin Bayramov guarded the goal of "Zira" in the 9th and 10th rounds of the Misli Premier League. In this regard, Salahat and Aydin are ready for the games. Rza Jafarov, on the other hand, does not get a chance in "Neftchi". He has not had the chance to wear a uniform in any game of the championship, which reduces his chances of appearing in the national team. As for the upcoming games, our team is waiting for two very difficult tests. I expect the national team to at least draw in the match with Iceland. We have almost no chance in the match with France.
It should be noted that our national team will face Iceland on November 13 at the 8th km settlement stadium and France on November 16 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round.
