Former head coach of the Danish and Norwegian national teams, Åge Hareide, is battling brain cancer. Sport24.az reports that the "VG" publication reported on this.
The 72-year-old Norwegian specialist was diagnosed in late July 2025. He has undergone chemotherapy. Strong drugs have weakened his body. He is currently suffering from speech impairment.
It should be noted that during his coaching career, Hareide has coached the national teams of Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. Under his leadership, the Danish national team participated in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and reached the 1/8 finals.
