"We prepared well for the game against "Imishli" throughout the week. We couldn't fully implement what we wanted in the first half." These words were said by Faiq Hajiyev, the captain of "Turan Tovuz", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 25-year-old defender shared his thoughts on the game against "Imishli" in the 26th round of the Misli Premier League, which ended in a draw (1:1):
"In the second half, we achieved this to some extent, but we failed to win as we wanted. We will analyze the game and try to prepare better for the next matches. A lot can be said about the grass cover of the stadium of the Guba Olympic Sports Complex, but this cannot be an excuse for us. In any case, we had to win. We will play our next game in our home arena. Playing in Tovuz always gives us extra motivation. God willing, we will prepare better for the match with "Sumgayit" in the next round and try to add 3 points to our assets. I hope we will achieve our goal."
It should be noted that after this result, "Turan Tovuz" with 49 points in its assets is ranked 3rd in the tournament table.
