"I thank each of the national team's coaches. They trusted me and invited me to the team." These words were said by Faig Hajiyev, a football player of "Turan Tovuz", who was invited to the Azerbaijani national team for the first time, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 26-year-old midfielder said:
"I was very happy. I want to wear the national team's uniform as soon as possible. I can't wait for that."
Hajiyev said that he will try to be invited to the team constantly:
"I think I haven't done anything yet. I have to work harder to be permanent."
He briefly talked about the team's upcoming matches:
"We must do our best in these games. We will go to the field for this."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will face France on October 10 and Ukraine three days later in the qualifying round of the DC-2026.
