Insider Fabrizio Romano has spoken about the future of Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick. Sport24.az reports that the famous insider revealed this on his podcast:
"I can say that week by week, the opinions on Carrick are changing in a positive direction. This does not mean that a concrete decision has been made regarding the future and permanent head coach of Manchester United. There is still a lot of time, it is still too early to draw any final conclusions.
But currently the atmosphere in the Manchester United dressing room is excellent. The players are very happy with Michael Carrick. The management believes that Carrick still has a chance to become the permanent head coach."
According to him, the club's initial plan was to give Carrick the opportunity to prove himself while considering other candidates. But he is strengthening his position within the club thanks to his productive work and victories.
The journalist added that now everything depends on Carrick himself:
"I repeat, no decision has been made yet - this is just an idea that is getting stronger every week within the club. But now Carrick has a chance. Let's see how things develop."
It should be noted that Manchester United has won six of their last seven matches under Carrick's leadership.
