Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Fabio Luis Ramim, the naturalized Brazilian former football player of the Azerbaijani national team, in his statement to AZERTAC while talking about the team's match against Iceland in Baku as part of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
He stated that he will support the Azerbaijan national team in today's match: "I follow the results of my former team. Azerbaijan is dear to me. Today there are quality football players in the national team. Thanks to good fan support, it is possible to get points from Iceland."
The 44-year-old veteran midfielder, who is the author of the only goal scored against the Icelandic national team in the national team, also recalled that match: "A 1:1 draw was recorded in the friendly match held in Reykjavik.
