Newcastle United defender Fabian Schär shared his feelings after witnessing the events in the Middle East.
İdman.Biz reports that last week Israeli and US forces launched strikes on Iranian territory and announced the start of a military operation. In response, the Islamic Republic launched strikes on American military bases and other targets in Israel, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
The 34-year-old football player, who is undergoing rehabilitation in the UAE after an injury, shared a photo on Instagram of himself in a shelter with others.
"I have lived through the most terrible days of my life, unfortunately I saw with my own eyes what is happening in the Middle East.
I was there as part of my rehabilitation program and I am glad that I found a way to get home safe and sound. But what we experienced there and what is happening now is really terrible. I hope that all people in need in the affected areas will be helped," Schär wrote.
