"An Independent Football Regulatory Commission (IFRC) has fined Chelsea Football Club and West Ham United Football Club for a mass confrontation that occurred during their Premier League match on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
It is alleged that Chelsea failed to ensure its players did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way in the 95th minute. It is further alleged that West Ham United failed to ensure its players did not behave in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way at the same time.
Both clubs subsequently admitted the charge. Following a hearing, the IFRC has fined Chelsea and West Ham United £325,000 and £300,000 respectively," the FA statement said.
