"Esteghlal" footballer Munir takes refuge in Turkey due to political tensions

Munir El Haddadi, a footballer for the Iranian club "Esteghlal," has arrived in Turkey. According to Sport24.az, the Moroccan striker shared this information on his social media account.

 

He stated that he came to Turkey due to the political tensions in Iran and feels safe here.

 

Throughout his career, Munir has played for clubs such as Barcelona, Valencia, Alaves, and Sevilla. He had been wearing the "Esteghlal" jersey since September 2025.
