Idman.Biz reports that the only goal of the match was scored by forward Kike Garcia, who entered the game in the 60th minute. The forward accurately completed Exposito's pass in the 87th minute, earning his team three points.
After the victory, "Espanyol" raised its score to 24 and rose to sixth place in the La Liga standings. "Celta" dropped to 12th place with 16 points.
In the next round, "Espanyol" will host "Rayo Vallecano" on December 7. On the same day, "Celta" will face Madrid "Real" on the road.
