Ernesto Valverde, the head coach of the Spanish team "Athletic", has announced that he will leave his post at the end of the season.
"Report" informs, citing the club's press service, that the experienced specialist stated that he had been considering his decision for some time and had discussed it with the management. In his statement, he addressed the fans and noted that he would not be leading the team from the next season.
It should be noted that Ernesto Valverde is working at "Athletic" for the third time. He previously led the team in 2003–2005 and 2013–2017, and returned to the club again in 2022.
With the Bilbao representative, Valverde won the Spanish Super Cup in the 2015/2016 season and the National Cup in the 2023/2024 season.
