Kristian Avram, the goalkeeper for the Moldova national team and the "Araz-Nakhchivan" club, spoke about an unusual dialogue with Scandinavian striker Erling Haaland after the teams' World Cup 2026 qualifying match against Norway.
Idman.biz reports that the match ended with an 11-1 victory for the Norwegians, with Haaland scoring a penta-trick in the match.
"I had a conversation with Erling. He apologized and said, "It's not my fault." He wanted to increase the goal difference. I understand him, he wanted to continue the fight. How do I feel? I'm not planning on dying. I have to be strong. I have my next match in a few days. But eleven goals are too many," Avram told the Moldovan press.
Kristian Avram has been defending the honor of the "Araz-Nakhchivan" club in the Misli Premier League since 2023.
