Manchester City striker Erling Haaland gifted the jersey he wore in the 17th round of the English Premier League match against West Ham, which ended 3-0, to the four grandchildren of the late Norwegian coach Åge Hareide.
Idman.Biz, citing "NRK", reports that Åge Hareide, as the head coach of the Danish national team in 2017, led the team to the 2018 World Cup. At that World Cup, the Danish national team reached the 1/8 finals. The experienced specialist also coached the Norwegian and Icelandic national teams in different years.
During his club career, Hareide worked for Molde, Rosenborg, Viking, Brøndby, as well as the Swedish clubs Helsingborg, Malmö, and Örgryte. As a coach, he won Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian championships, and in 2014 he was named Coach of the Year in the Swedish championship.
Erling Haaland's action has been appreciated by the Norwegian football community as an example of respect and esteem.
