Former Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag may return to Ajax.

According to reports, the Amsterdam club is interested in signing a contract with the 55-year-old specialist after the dismissal of former head coach John Heitinga.
Ajax approached Ten Hag with an offer to return to the club, but the coach has not yet made a final decision.
Ten Hag coached Ajax in 2018-22.
Heitinga started coaching Ajax in July 2025, but was dismissed after 15 games. Ten Hag started coaching Bayer Leverkusen in Germany in the summer, but was dismissed after three games.
Ajax is currently fourth in the Eredivisie with 20 points from 11 games, eight points behind leader Feyenoord.
