Lent.az reports that the specialist was dismissed on September 1, just two months after signing the contract.
According to reports, the coach received 1 million euros as salary for 62 days at the club and 5 million euros as compensation for early termination of the contract.
The 55-year-old Dutch specialist took over the club on July 1. Under his leadership, "Bayer" played three matches: 1 victory, 1 defeat and 1 draw. The Leverkusen club is in 12th place in the Bundesliga standings with 1 point.
