England's "Leicester" club has re-established contact with former head coach Enzo Maresca. The club's management is considering the possibility of the Italian specialist returning to the team until the end of the season.
Idman.Biz, referring to the "Mirror" publication, reports that Andy King is currently temporarily holding the head coach position at "Leicester". However, the club's management wants Maresca to lead the team on a short-term basis. Considering that the Italian coach is in the interest of "Manchester City" and "Tottenham", the club does not plan to offer him a long-term contract.
45-year-old Enzo Maresca worked at "Leicester" in 2023–2024. Under his leadership, the team won the Championship (the second league of England) and qualified for the Premier League. In the current season, "Leicester" is again playing in the Championship and is in 16th place in the tournament table.
It should be noted that Enzo Maresca was the head coach of "Chelsea" in 2024–2026.
