Emin Mahmudov, the captain of the "Neftchi" football team, shared his thoughts on the victory over "Araz-Nakhchivan" in the 27th round of the Misli Premier League and his injury.
Idman.Biz reports that the experienced midfielder first clarified the latest situation regarding his health.
"I went to Serbia for treatment and had minor surgery there. I was only able to train with the team for 1-2 days. Although there was pain from the surgery, thank God, I feel better and came out and helped my team," said the captain.
Regarding the game, the midfielder noted that although the team created many scoring opportunities, they could not realize them all due to a lack of composure. He also spoke about the "hidden number 9" tactic implemented by head coach Yuri Vernidub:
"Every player works hard to fulfill what the coach wants. Thank God, this is still working well. As for matches with opponents in the top ranks of the tournament table, we want to win every game. We must not stop to continue this series."
Emin Mahmudov called their next round opponent, "Zira", one of the most disciplined teams in the championship and emphasized that a tough game awaits them.
