Emin Mahmudov, the captain of "Neftchi" and the Azerbaijani national team, received treatment in Serbia due to an injury.
This was stated to "Report" by the press secretary of the Baku club, Asef Zeynally.
He said that the football player has already returned to Baku:
"Emin Mahmudov was injured in the groin area a few days before the game with "Sumgayit". He went to Serbia to receive treatment for his injury. He returned to Baku yesterday. That is why he could not participate in the game against "Sumgayit".
A.Zeynallı emphasized that the date of the 33-year-old midfielder's return to the green fields depends on the treatment process:
"His treatment will continue in Baku. When Emin will return to the ranks will depend on the course of treatment."
It should be noted that the "Sumgayit" - "Neftchi" match, which took place yesterday, ended with a 3:1 victory for the capital's representative.
