Neftchi's footballer Emin Mahmudov has scored his 50th goal in the Premier League. Sport24.az reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League that the midfielder, who only wore the uniform of "white-blacks" in the Azerbaijani championship, halved the "100" in his 221st match.
The captain of the Baku representative scored the jubilee goal in the XVI round of the Misli Premier League against "Karvan-Yevlakh" (2:1). Mahmudov, who scored his first goal in the 2017/2018 season, when he debuted in the championship, is the 43rd football player in the history of the competition to score 50 or more goals.
The midfielder is the 16th player in the highest league of Azerbaijani championships to score at least that many goals for the same club.
Mahmudov is the 4th top scorer with 50 or more goals in the championship with Neftchi. He is only behind Samir Alakbarov, Gurban Gurbanov and Yunis Huseynov.
