In the press conference held before the Iceland-Azerbaijan match to be held on September 5 at the "Laugardalsvollur" stadium as part of the DÇ-2026 qualifying round, the captain of our national team, Emin Mahmudov, shared his thoughts on the game. Sport24.az introduces you to Mahmudov's statement:
"A difficult game awaits us tomorrow. We have been here for several days and have prepared well. We believe that we can fulfill the head coach's instructions and achieve a successful result. I don't think much about breaking the goal record in the national team. I think more about how I can benefit the national team. The atmosphere and motivation in the team are very high. There can be no greater motivation than playing in the national team. We will all come to the field with the same thought. We will try to have our say on the field tomorrow."
