"Our game didn't work out from the first minutes." These words were said by "Neftchi" captain Emin Mahmudov.
The experienced footballer shared his thoughts on the XVI round match of the Misli Premier League, which they won on the road against "Karvan-Yevlakh":
"It took time to adapt to the field. The opponent also analyzed us well. They didn't allow us to take advantage of the gaps. But in the second half, we created a lot of goal opportunities. We couldn't capitalize on the opportunities we created in the match against "Sumgayit" either. We worked non-stop in this match as well and finally managed to score a goal."
Mahmudov also spoke about the new head coach of "white-blacks", Yuri Vernidub:
"We want to fulfill his requirements. We intend to play more aggressively and compactly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I believe that we will show a better game after winter. The main thing is that all of us, the team's footballers, believe. We must all fight together."
