"We had initial talks with Gabala. However, we couldn't agree due to some nuances. Therefore, we decided to part ways."
Idman.biz reports that Elvin Yunuszade said these words in his statement to Futbolinfo.az.
The central defender, who said goodbye to Gabala today, also touched upon his time in the regional representative. The 32-year-old football player described this year as a valuable and memorable stage in his career: "This year went very well for me. I participated in 90 percent of the games played by the team. I am satisfied with the results we achieved and the defensive performance we showed. Especially not conceding a goal in the first 16 rounds showed how disciplined and well-established we were as a team. In general, our goal remained untouched in 19 of the 22 games I played. This is a very important indicator for a defender, and I am satisfied with my game."
Touching on his future career plans, Elvin stated that he is in contact with several local clubs. However, he did not rule out the possibility of playing abroad: "Currently, there are some local clubs I am negotiating with. It will be clarified in the near future which team I will join. If there is interest from abroad and it is suitable for my career, of course, I will consider it. But the most important thing is that whatever is best for me will happen."
