The Azerbaijan national team will face the Ukrainian national team in Poland as part of the 4th round of the DÇ-2026 qualifying round. Sport24.az reports that the defender of our national team, Elvin Jafarguliyev, answered journalists' questions at the press conference held before the game:
"Tomorrow we will play against a very strong team. We have received certain instructions, we have analyzed the opponent. We did not have much time to prepare for this game. But as a team, we have prepared well for tomorrow's match, we are fully concentrated, and we will try for the maximum result possible."
- You came to Krakow after a difficult game against France. Have you been able to recover?
- We don't have much time. But I think we have recovered well as a team. The main thing is to be psychologically ready. We were very tired in the meeting with France. We fought well. Tomorrow there will be a good game too. If we take the game against France, we will be even more tired in tomorrow's meeting. We know the opponent. We have a good team. Tomorrow we have to perform both intelligently and confidently.
- You played 1:1 with Ukraine in Baku and were the best player of the match. Will the draw in that meeting affect tomorrow's match? Is it good motivation for you?
- We also played with France after that game. I performed well. But the main thing from Ukraine was to get points. I put my own performance aside, the main thing is the team. We have motivation, we are confident. Tomorrow we have to fight a lot to get the result we want. There are very difficult teams in the group. Therefore, the points and victory we will gain tomorrow can change our place in the group. This also has its own motivation.
