"It was my desire to return to Neftchi." Sport24.az reports that these words were said by Neftchi's new transfer Elvin Badalov in an interview with the club's television.
The defender shared his thoughts on his transfer to "the white-blacks": "I wanted the more experienced Elvin to return to Neftchi. That time has come. I am happy. It is a big club, a flagship. We know this. But these are beautiful feelings. We have to work."
He recalled that he was young when he first played for "Neftchi": "I took my first steps in big football at "Neftchi". I had little experience. It wasn't that successful. I said that I would come back more experienced. I believe that the fans, the club management and the coaches will see this. I believe and I came for this."
He said that he was happy to work with Samir Abasov again: "We liked his game philosophy in "Sumgayit" as well. Not only me. I came to the club at the request of Samir Abasov. I know what they want. He plays interesting and beautiful football."
