- Winning a point against a rival like Ukraine is also a result. Look where their players play. We fought all 90 minutes. We stood by each other. In the end, we won a point.
- I'm just curious, what prevented you from fighting to the end until this game? So it turns out that the coaches could not fully prepare the team psychologically and tactically?
- I don't want to put everything on the coach. We performed poorly in the match with Iceland. Such games happen. It's like nothing works out, there is discouragement. But that day was not our day. - I would like us to win in the next round. There has been improvement in the game for three rounds. We just can't win. I believe that if we win one game, the rest will come. We all believe in this, we have no other way.
- In the future, the national team is waiting for a very difficult match against France. You probably saw Iceland's fight against them. Although they even made the score 2:2, the goal was later canceled after VAR's intervention. Did this give you confidence that you can actually play with France and that it is possible not to lose by a big score, as most people think?
- We will prepare. We have no other way. We can play against any opponent. Of course, France is another level. I don't want to talk about it at all. It's an away game. But we have to do our best. After the game with Ukraine, I am sure that the children also gained self-confidence.
- Is it possible to think that the first and only point in the match with Ukraine was not the only one we will collect in this group?
- We all want it. I wish it was so.
- Number 14 jersey in the national team. We know that Rashad Sadygov has been playing with this number in the national team for many years. Is that the reason for choosing that number?
- Rashad Sadygov is a legend of our football. Undoubtedly, my respect for him is great and endless. As a football player, I always liked Rashad Sadygov very much. But the number issue is not related to him.
