"In the first half, we conceded a goal because we met the opponent further back. In the second half, we played in attack." These words were said by Elshad Manafov, a football player of "Khankendi", a representative of the Second League, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The defender commented on the match against "Garadag Lokbatan" held in the XV round of the league:
"We had to keep our composure. Our coach's substitutions also showed themselves. As a result, we were able to score two goals. It was very important to defeat the main rival like "Garadag Lokbatan" and move forward in the tournament table. We were waiting for this match as a team."
Manafov said that they were able to prepare well during the winter break: "The championship is a long marathon. At the beginning of the season, the first rounds were difficult for us. Later, our team was able to adapt to the championship. We have experienced football players in our squad who have played in all kinds of weather."
It should be noted that the match ended with the victory of "Khankendi" with a score of 2:1.
