A press conference was held before the return match of the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League between "Araz-Nakhchivan" and "Aris", which will take place tomorrow. Sport24.az reports that the head coach of Nakhchivan, Elmar Bakhshiyev, answered journalists' questions.
He shared his thoughts on the game: "We mentioned before the first game that the chances are equal. We weren't saying this for the sake of it, we knew that our opponent was a good team. That's why we said before the game in Baku that the chances were 50-50. We are interested in our own team. I don't think "Aris" is a bad team. Unlike you, we felt that struggle on the field. We respect "Aris", we are a little wary".
The expert noted that they are not looking at the result of the first game: "What you call chance is statistics, we are not looking at it, the fate of the game is decided on the field. During the game, we will try to do our best as a team. We have forgotten the first game. We are thinking about tomorrow's meeting. I believe that we can do better as a team".
E. Bakhshiyev said that he does not want to talk about how the opponent will play: "Because I am interested in my team, what my players will do. We know the strengths and weaknesses of "Aris". As for the fans, our players have also played in front of such a fan army at different times. That's why I don't think they will be under serious pressure. I repeat, we have forgotten the game in Baku and the result. Everything will be decided in tomorrow's game. We, as a team, are focused on this meeting".
