Elmar Bakhshiyev, the head coach of "Araz-Nakhchivan," a representative of the Misli Premier League, shared his thoughts on signing a new contract.
"Report" reports, citing the press service of the Nakhchivan club, that the specialist said that the negotiations with the management were successful.
He emphasized that he signed a new contract because he was satisfied with the proposed conditions:
"We met with the management, discussed both the completed season and shared our thoughts on the new football year. The negotiations were successful, and I decided to continue my work on the "Araz-Nakhchivan" project. We can build a better team and improve our results. The team did a really great job in the completed season. Despite the difficulties, it became one of the medalists for the first time in its history and gained the opportunity to play in European cups. We came to a common denominator to continue this successful schedule together. We signed a new contract because the conditions were satisfactory."
E. Bakhshiyev touched upon the team's preparation plan:
"Of course, we have a more difficult and responsible football year ahead of us. The plans are already known. The team will undergo preparation in 2 stages. First, we will gather in Baku. Until that time, we will try to complete the team. There will be changes in our squad. Along with those who leave, new ones will come. Information about this will be provided in time. Our search has begun. In Turkey, we will try to eliminate shortcomings by holding test matches. Our sparring partners will be announced in the coming days."
It should be noted that the Nakhchivan representative finished the 2024/2025 season of the Misli Premier League in third place and qualified for the UEFA Conference League.
