"Araz-Nakhchivan" football players showed character and won.
"Report" informs that the head coach of "Araz-Nakhchivan" Elmar Bakhshiyev said this at a press conference after the match against "Aris" (Greece) in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
The specialist stated that they fought against a difficult opponent:
"I express my gratitude to all the fans who supported us. They showed us their support every moment. They did not leave us alone even after we conceded a goal. I think we have done a good job. As time passes, we will become a stronger team. After our injured football players return to the ranks, they will add strength to our strength. Today we showed real character and won a well-deserved victory. We knew what surprises the opponent had prepared for us."
It should be noted that the match "Araz-Nakhchivan" - "Aris" ended with a 2:1 victory of the Azerbaijani representative. The return match between the parties will be held on July 31 in Thessaloniki.
