The situation with head coach Elmar Bakhshiyev at the "Araz-Nakhchivan" club has become even more complicated.
Idman.Biz reports that sportinfo.az wrote that the specialist refused to resign at his own request and informed the management that he would only leave the club if compensation was paid.
Bakhshiyev, whose contract with "Araz-Nakhchivan" is valid until June 2026, did not accept the offer to terminate the contract by mutual agreement and demanded compensation of 75,000 manats.
Zaur Akhundov, president of the Nakhchivan Football Federation, who watched the team's recent defeat (1:5) live from the Surakhani stadium, was seriously dissatisfied with the weak and resistant match and called the team's helpless appearance "unacceptable".
The head of the Federation noted that he is not at all satisfied with the current situation of "Araz-Nakhchivan" and that one of the main reasons for the team's decline is the head coach. According to him, there is almost no hope that the team will recover and achieve successful results while Bakhshiyev remains in office.
