Elkhan Abdullayev, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team consisting of football players under 19, has always been in favor of playing against strong teams. Sport24.az reports that the specialist made a statement to the AFFA press service about this.
He expressed his opinion about the training camp held in Uzbekistan:
"We are holding our last training camp before the European Championship qualifying round games that will be held in Malta in November. We will play two friendly matches with Uzbekistan. The opponent is a very strong team. In these matches, we will test our strength and see how ready we are for the qualifying round. I have always been in favor of playing against strong teams. Because in this way we see our shortcomings and start working on those mistakes. Some of our football players have been invited to our U-21 national team. For this reason, we will also give new players a chance in the meetings with Uzbekistan. We will try to return from the trip with good results."
It should be noted that within the framework of the U-19 training camp, two friendly meetings will be held with the corresponding age group team of Uzbekistan on October 9 and 12.
