Elkhan Abdullayev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national team consisting of football players under 19, has always been in favor of facing strong teams.
According to "Report", the specialist made a statement to the AFFA press service about this.
He shared his thoughts on the training camp held in Uzbekistan:
"We are holding our last training camp before the European Championship qualifying round games to be held in Malta in November. We will play two test matches with Uzbekistan. The opponent is a very strong team. In these matches, we will test our strength and see how ready we are for the qualifying round. I have always been in favor of facing strong teams. Because in this case, we see our shortcomings and start working on these mistakes. Some of our football players have been invited to our U-21 national team. For this reason, we will also give new players a chance in the meetings with Uzbekistan. We will try to return from the trip with good results." It should be noted that as part of the U-19 training camp, two test matches will be held with the corresponding age group team of Uzbekistan on October 9 and 12.
