"It was a tense game. Both teams played very cautiously." These words were said to Sport24.az by Elgiz Karamli, the head coach of I League representative "Shafa".
The young specialist shared his thoughts on the match against "Baku Sporting" in the 22nd round of the league, which ended in a draw:
"The condition of the stadium created serious difficulties for the players - it is almost impossible to show a quality game on such a field. "Baku Sporting" seemed more comfortable in handling the ball than us because they regularly train and play in this stadium. However, we did not lag behind the opponent in terms of fighting and the game was generally at the same level. A draw can be considered a fair result. If the field was in better condition, we could have created more goal opportunities. As for the issue of championship and promotion to the Premier League, nothing has been formalized yet. Therefore, it is not clear in which stadium we will hold our home games. It is too early to talk about the next season. We are currently focusing all our attention on the upcoming matches."
It should be noted that the match between "Baku Sporting" and "Shafa" ended with a score of 0:0.
