According to investigators, the footballer committed the crime against a 21-year-old woman at his home. The publication reports that Spanish prosecutors are seeking a nine-year prison sentence for sexual assault and an 18-month sentence for physical and emotional abuse. In addition, the prosecution is seeking €64,000 in compensation for the victim.
Rafael Mir was previously arrested in 2024 in connection with this case but was released after giving a statement. Pablo Jara, another footballer who was at Mir's house at the time and allegedly committed illegal acts against another woman, is also among those accused.
