The Ekstraklasa-2025/26 season, the top football league in Poland, is attracting attention with unprecedented competition and unexpected results.
Idman.Biz reports that after half of the season is over, there is only an 11-point difference between the leader of the tournament table and the team in last place. This means that all 18 teams are fighting for both the championship and staying in the league.

The biggest surprise of the tournament is the leader "Wisła". The team, which returned to the elite in the summer after a two-year break, is currently in first place in the standings. "Wisła", led by Mariusz Misiura, has more draws (9) than victories (7) and has not won three points in any of the last five rounds before the break, but has nevertheless risen to the leadership.
The situation of "Legia", the country's most titled club, is the opposite. The team is in the last place in the tournament table and is the second weakest team in the league in terms of goals scored (19).
The current champion "Lech" is eighth. "Lechia", which is in 13th place, has been deprived of five points due to financial problems.
