Ehtiram Guliyev, Chairman of the Board of "Turan Tovuz", met with Bernd Stange, a friend of the German-Azerbaijani Society and a well-known football expert, within the framework of the "Azerbaijan-Germany Friendship Week". Sport24.az reports that the club's press service released the information.
In addition to the German expert, the meeting was attended by Chingiz Abdullayev, the chairman of the society, Elchin Usub, the chairman of the board of "Shamakhi", and football veteran Vali Gasimov.
The guests were given detailed information about Tovuz football and the club. It was emphasized that the foundation of football in Tovuz was laid by the Germans at the beginning of the last century. At the same time, the guests were given extensive information about "Shamakhi".
An exchange of views was held and possible cooperation opportunities were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the honorary guest was presented with the "Turan Tovuz" uniform. Chingiz Abdullayev, the chairman of the society, presented Ehtiram Guliyev with a historical photo taken at the first official match held in Tovuz in 1920, "Rote Fahne" - "Tovuz".
