Former Fenerbahçe footballer Edin Džeko has made interesting statements about Turkey.
İdman.biz reports that the 39-year-old experienced footballer, currently playing for Fiorentina, spoke about this to the Italian press.
He stated that Turkey is not an easy country, the pressure is excessive: "Twitter (X social network) is dominant there. It determines the mood and discontent, and affects the situation."
Džeko added that they finished the previous season with 99 points and came in second, three points behind Galatasaray: "But even if we had scored 105 points, we would still be second. Last night, in the game against Göztəpə, a strong club, when Talisca missed a penalty in the 90+3rd minute, Galatasaray fans started tweeting that the referee wanted to kick the ball into the goal… I know that Mourinho wants to rise to the championship at all costs, it has become a fixation for him."
