In 2011, Angelo, the son of former Inter president Massimo Moratti, suggested to his father to transfer young Eden Hazard from Lille. Sport24.az reports that the 35-year-old footballer revealed why this transfer did not take place in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Hazard recalled that period as follows:
"Moratti showered me with compliments. But I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and at Real Madrid, and fortunately, I achieved that. Let me reveal a secret: I was a Milan fan as a child, and I even met Galliani. He said that Berlusconi wanted to see me at Milan, but they never took any real steps."
It should be noted that Hazard ended his career on October 10, 2023. The former Belgian national team player played for clubs such as Lille, Chelsea, and Real Madrid during his career.
