Eddie Howe's record Champions League winning streak continues

Newcastle's 6-1 victory over Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League play-off stage was head coach Eddie Howe's fifth win of the season.

According to Idman.Biz, citing Squawka, this equals the national record for the most wins by an English coach in this tournament in a single season.

Howe currently shares first place with two coaches. Previously, only Bobby Robson in 2002/03 with Newcastle and Graham Potter in 2022/23 with Chelsea have managed to win five times in the Champions League in one season.
